At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll but then a remarkable discovery was made…

The game player appears as a newly hired employee at Freddy Fazbear’s fright, a horror based attraction designed to capitalize on past events. The player has to watch the facility from security office during the night shift using cameras placed in rooms and Air vents and reboot these whenever they begin to malfunction one week before the attraction is scheduled to open for the public.

After the first night the employees in Fazbear Fright discovered a rabbit like animatronic and the player has to stop it from entering the office and attacking, as if it happens, the game ends. In order to stop this, the player can seal off the air vents at certain points but can’t seal the door or air vents that lead directly in the office and can use Audio to play horrible sounds to keep it away from the office. The player can hear a series of instructional cassette tapes that instruct employees how to operate springtrap suit or to avoid it’s usage as there were fatal accidents in the past due to failure of springtrap lock mechanism.

The game consists of five nights, increasing in difficulty, and upon successful completion of all five unlocks, an even more challenging night called “Nightmare”. Between nights the player is able to play low resolution mini-games with several vague hints to decipher. Players who decipher these hints can unlock “Good Ending” as well as bonus content such as additional mini-games and Cheat menu.

The bad ending is attained if the game is completed without completing all the hidden mini-games within the game.
